"Duran Harris was granted parole in 2003. Prochazka’s family was never informed of the parole hearing and did not have a chance to oppose his release," said Prochazka’s son, Willowick Police Patrolman Robert Prochazka. read more

In 1992 rapper Ice-T wrote a song called "Cop Killers" which glorified the killing of police officers.  We show the reality of Cop Killers.  They are cold blooded murderers who should never be released from prison.  Read the crime details, read the news articles, listen to the victims.

image of open jail doorThe mission of CopKillers.org is to track the parole hearings of offenders convicted of the homicide of a police officer in the line of duty. We post copies of news articles relating to parole eligible cop killers.  We promote online petitions to deny the parole of cop killers.  In the future we hope to provide email and text message alerts of inmate status updates.

Most citizens are surprised when they learn that convicted cop killers are ever eligible for parole, much less sometimes released from prison. In the past offenders have been released without out prior notification to the family members of the lost officer. Victim's families will often attend parole hearings every other year.  This is very painful for the family to open old wounds.

Richard Workman was given fourteen parole hearings before he died in prison in 2009. When you read this article you will understand the need for this website and for No Parole For Cop Killers Legislation.

Something should be done to stop this! Please get involved.  Please take a few minutes to sign the petitions on this website.  Contact your Congressional Representatives and tell them to pass a bill which makes a cop killer who is convicted and sentenced to death or life in prison ineligible for parole.   Contact the parole boards and ask them to deny parole for cop killers.

The crime details and offender information have been gathered from odmp.org, websites, public records, blogs, and newspaper articles. Offender photos have been obtained from State Department of Corrections Websites.

Volunteers are needed to help build our database.  We need help in research, professional web design (joomla/mysql), smartphone app development, sponsor development, legal (501c3 status), etc...

We are also looking for police officers, active or retired, or family members of officers who gave their lives in the line of duty, who would be interested in serving on our Board of Directors.

Police Departments, other Law Enforcement Agencies, FOP/PBA's, and individuals are encouraged to participate by helping build our database and obtaining online petition signatures.

"Refreshing and riveting..."

"During his thirty-one years in law enforcement, Bill Redding served in all divisions of the Evanston, IL police department for twenty years. He moved on to Chief of Police in Belvidere, Illinois to a primitive environment where clout overcame ethics. His final stint as a police officer occurred in South Milwaukee, where Redding once again tangled with politics. He finally retired to Florida with his wife Ann, where they can enjoy the culture of the parrot heads".

Redding's debut novel deals with the problem of sexual abuse among clergy that occurred in the 1960's. Set in fictional Pulaski, outside of Milwaukee, his story deals with a fictionalized account of a priest called Father Julius who is suspected of having relations with young altar boys. When a victim turns up dead, it is up to Sergeant Casimir "Slat" Sczlatski to find the perp. Slat's mentor, Sam Tyrone, has also turned up dead of an apparent suicide. Slat feels he must clear his old friend's name, as it is easy to denigrate the dead. He also takes the revolutionary step of teaming two female detectives together to solve the string of baffling murders of young men. As expected all of the above make for clashing wills, mores, and a string of unforgettable characters..."

"Redding's first mystery is a jam-packed whodunit that examines the role of the Catholic Church in clergy abuse four decades ago. As his sidelines he also deals with crooked cops; the incredible political structure in Wisconsin that interferes with decent law enforcement; and the toll a career in law enforcement exacts from even the most idealistic. Redding's account rings with clarity and truth. He is a man who has lived in these situations and thus has much to teach. Keep up the wonderful work! This reviewer couldn't put the book down. It is refreshing and riveting."
